Jennifer Johnson

Fundraising Committee, Director

Project Coordinator, CANFOR

Jennifer Johnson has spent most of her life dancing and has now been teaching and choreographing in the community of Prince George for 13 years. She grew up dancing at Judy Russell's Enchainement Dance Center and later went on to Dance in Source Dance Company, a semi-professional training company out of Vancouver.

Jennifer is passionate about creating, choreographing in a variety of dance styles from contemporary to hip hop. She holds her Licentiate Designation through the Canadian Dance Teachers Association and is the Senior Hip Hop teacher at Enchainement. She has trained in Vancouver, Australia and Los Angeles with hopes to bring as much inspiration and knowledge back to her students as possible.

After returning to Prince George, she attended UNBC and completed a Commerce Degree with a double major in General Business and Human Resource Management. While studying, she continued to teach and be involved in community events and productions such as Evil Dead the Musical and Cabaret. Following the completion of her degree, she was a Recruiter for the College of New Caledonia which provided her valuable insight and experience in adult education, recruiting and retaining students to the north, and Indigenous education. She has since moved on to the role of Project Coordinator for Triton Environmental, a local Environmental consulting firm in Prince George. In this role she supports the environmental component of local and regional major projects.

She brings to Method her professional experience in recruitment, education, and project management but it is her experience in the dance and arts world, as well as her hope to one day see a local professional dance company in Northern BC, that drew her to becoming a member of the Board of Directors. She is thrilled to be a part of something that will allow dancers and artists in the north to continue to learn, grow, and ultimately give back to the community.
